Why I Started DDD Warrior — And What This Challenge Is Really About
Living with degenerative disc disease has shaped my life for years.
If you’re living with degenerative disc disease or chronic pain, you know it doesn’t just affect your back.
It affects your energy, your attitude, your confidence, your weight, your family, your work, and the way you see your future.
There have been plenty of times where I felt stuck.
Stuck in pain.
Stuck overweight.
Stuck tired.
Stuck frustrated.
Stuck knowing I needed to change, but not always knowing where to start.
That is a hard place to be in, especially when life does not stop just because you hurt.
Bills still come. Kids still need you. Work still expects you to show up. Your family still needs leadership. And deep down, you know there is more in you than what you’ve been living.
That is why I started DDD Warrior.
Not because I have already won.
Not because I have it all figured out.
Not because I am standing on a mountaintop telling everyone else what to do.
I started DDD Warrior because I am rebuilding too.
What DDD Warrior Means
DDD Warrior is about rebuilding the warrior within.
It is for people dealing with degenerative disc disease, chronic pain, weight struggles, low confidence, discouragement, or just that feeling of being stuck in life.
The heart behind it is simple:
Start laying bricks.
One disciplined daily action at a time.
That is what I call DDAs — disciplined daily actions.
You do not rebuild your life all at once.
You rebuild it one brick at a time.
One walk.
One better meal.
One prayer.
One workout.
One budget decision.
One conversation with your wife or kids.
One act of leadership.
One day where you choose not to quit.
That may not sound flashy, but that is how people change.
The Five Pillars
DDD Warrior is built around five main pillars:
Faith.
Family.
Finance.
Health.
Leadership.
These are the areas I want to rebuild in my own life.
These are also areas I believe a lot of other people are struggling with.
You can be strong in one area and weak in another.
You can love your family but be struggling with your health.
You can have faith but be struggling financially.
You can want to lead but feel like pain and discouragement have taken the fight out of you.
I get that.
That is why this is not about pretending to be perfect.
It is about choosing to get a little better every day.
What the Challenge Is
The DDD Warrior Challenge is not a fitness competition.
It is not about being perfect for 30 days.
It is not about doing some extreme program that most people cannot stick with.
It is about choosing small daily actions that move you forward.
The challenge is to start laying bricks in the areas that matter.
A faith brick might be reading your Bible for 10 minutes.
A family brick might be spending intentional time with your wife or kids.
A finance brick might be looking at your budget or making one better money decision.
A health brick might be walking, stretching, eating better, drinking more water, or doing a short workout.
A leadership brick might be doing something you know needs to be done instead of putting it off.
Small actions.
Done consistently.
That is the challenge.
I Am Doing This Regardless
I want to be clear about something.
I am doing this whether anybody joins me or not.
This is personal for me.
I am tired of staying the same.
I am tired of letting pain, weight, frustration, and excuses decide what my future looks like.
I want to become a better man.
A better husband.
A better father.
A better leader.
A better steward of what God has given me.
And I know that does not happen by accident.
It happens by laying bricks every day.
So I am going to document the journey.
I am going to share what I am learning.
I am going to talk about what is working, what is hard, where I struggle, and how I am rebuilding.
Not from the mountaintop.
From the trenches.
You Are Welcome to Join Me
If you are dealing with DDD, chronic pain, weight struggles, discouragement, or just feeling stuck, you are welcome to walk this out with me.
No pressure.
No perfection.
No pretending.
You do not have to have it all together to start.
You just have to be willing to lay the next brick.
That is what DDD Warrior is about.
Rebuilding through faith, family, finance, health, and leadership.
One disciplined daily action at a time.
If that sounds like something you need, I invite you to follow along, join the community, and start laying bricks with us.
The challenge starts with one decision:
I am not staying where I am.
Start laying bricks.
