If you’ve spent any time around DDD Warrior, you’ve probably heard me talk about DDAs.
DDA stands for Disciplined Daily Action.
It’s one of the simplest ideas I’ve ever learned, but it’s also one of the most powerful.
Most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a month and underestimate what they can accomplish in five years.
We want big changes.
We want fast results.
We want our health fixed, our finances fixed, our confidence restored, and our lives moving in the right direction immediately.
The problem is that real change usually doesn’t happen that way.
Real change happens one choice at a time.
One day at a time.
One brick at a time.
That’s where DDAs come in.
A Disciplined Daily Action is simply a positive action you choose to do consistently, whether you feel like doing it or not.
Not because it’s exciting.
Not because you’re motivated.
Not because it’s easy.
Because it’s a brick that moves your life forward.
For me, some of my DDAs include:
- Reading my Bible
- Going for a walk
- Drinking more water
- Working on my budget
- Spending intentional time with my family
- Working on DDD Warrior
None of those actions are life-changing by themselves.
But when repeated day after day, month after month, and year after year, they completely change the direction of your life.
That’s the philosophy behind DDD Warrior.
We’re not chasing perfection.
We’re chasing consistency.
We’re building momentum.
We’re laying bricks.
Every DDA should strengthen one or more of the six pillars of DDD Warrior.
These pillars serve as the framework we use to rebuild our lives one brick at a time.
The five pillars of DDD Warrior are:
Faith
Family
Finance
Health
Leadership
Every DDA should help strengthen one or more of those pillars.
Some days you’ll lay a lot of bricks.
Some days you’ll only lay one.
Both count.
Because progress isn’t measured by perfection.
It’s measured by showing up again tomorrow.
So if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stop worrying about where you’ll be next year.
Focus on today.
What’s one disciplined daily action you can take right now?
Start there.
One DDA.
One Brick.
One Day At A Time.
